After working together in various projects over the years bassist Alfred Lorinius and guitarist Carl Svensson in 2019 forms the duo. Sargasso is a nordic sounding acoustic duo, a melodic dialogue between open space and rhythmic density. The music and the songs explore the duos sound landscape and dynamic possibilities. This is Sargassos debut album and holds three original compositions and three covers.

Alfred Lorinius has with his powerful and lyrical bass playing made a name for himself on the Scandinavian jazz scene and has played festivals like London Jazz Festival, Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Stockholm Jazz Festival and more, also running his own group Stromfågal and plays in various other contexts I.e. Parallel Activity.

Carl Svensson Guitarist in various genres and contexts with I.e. Lindha Kallerdahl, Sarah Riedel, Parallel Activity, Dick Lövgren (Meshuggah), Anders Björler (At The Gates, The Haunted), Klabbe Hörngren (Klabbes Bank) et.al.
